      通过问卷调查,探讨基础教育阶段英语教师对英语教学目标、教学内容、教学方法及课堂师生关系等的认识,旨在帮助读者了解中国教师的语言教学观念和教学行为,促进英语新课程改革。调查结果显示大部分教师的教学观念和教学行为科学、合理,但存在教学观念落后于教学行为的现象。有必要加强师资教育,扭转教学观念并以正确的教学观念指导教学行为。

      Based on questionnaire, this paper tries to explore English teachers’ understanding of English teaching aims, foreign language contents, foreign language teaching methods and the relationship between teachers and students in the stage of basic education, aiming at helping readers know more about Chinese English teachers’ language teaching beliefs and teaching behaviors, moving New Course Reform forward. The study findings show that most teachers’ teaching beliefs and behaviors are advanced and reasonable, but in some cases, the latter is still lagging behind the former. It is necessary to strength the teacher’s education to change their teaching ideas and then improve their teaching behaviors.
